Michelle Amos - GOV.KY
Michelle brings global Human Resources and Organisation Development experience, having worked in the United Kingdom (UK), Canada, and New Zealand. She holds an MA in Human Resource Management from Newcastle University (UK) and a Master's in Organisation Development and Leadership through Fielding University (San Diego).
Michelle is passionate about coaching and graduated from Fielding University’s Executive Coaching programme (ICF). She believes that one of the most important parts of her job is developing future leaders. She has led and empowered Human Resources teams whose goals were to develop and implement strategies that support business results, are data driven, all while providing outstanding HR services to enhance the employee experience.
She enjoys talent acquisition and has overseen efforts to streamline best practices that better utilise HRIS technology for more effective processes and decisions. She is also a well-respected and trusted advisor for people leaders.
Michelle has built successful leadership and succession programmes by combining HR theory with experiential application. She is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources in Alberta, Canada, where she helped initiate a local HR chapter - and was formerly a CIPD (UK) member.
She has developed engagement activities that support a positive workplace culture and chairing the Workplace Wellness Committee was an invaluable part of this. She also has extensive experience in disability management and building a safety culture.
Michelle is a strong supporter of community involvement and, in her spare time, enjoys spin classes, running, and spending time with family and friends
