The Hon. Nickolas DaCosta brings over 15 years of experience in customer service, communications, and public administration across both the public and private sectors. His former roles as Caucus Secretary and Communications Coordinator in the Office of the Premier have provided him with a comprehensive understanding of government operations and the critical role of transparent communication in public service.

Hon. DaCosta holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Public Administration, equipping him with the academic foundation and strategic insight to address complex community challenges. His commitment to responsible governance is reflected in his service on the boards of the Water Authority – Cayman and the Cayman Islands National Attractions Authority, where he has supported sustainable development and policy integrity. His tenure on the Planning Appeals Tribunal has further deepened his knowledge of land use, infrastructure, and community planning.

A proud and active member of the Lions Club of Cayman Brac, Hon. DaCosta has been honored as a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow, highlighting his enduring dedication to service and community welfare. His love for music enriches his engagement with the community, often contributing to worship services at churches across the Brac, including his home church, Stake Bay Baptist Church.

In 2025, Hon. DaCosta was elected as the representative for the electoral district of Cayman Brac West & Little Cayman, and currently serves as the Minister for District Administration and Home Affairs.
