Hurricane Melissa, described by the World Meteorological Organisation as "the storm of the century," is the strongest hurricane of the year and the most devastating to strike a Caribbean island on record.
The Cayman Islands Government stands with our Caribbean neighbours. Hazard Management Cayman Islands (HMCI), in partnership with the Cayman Islands Red Cross and regional organisations, is coordinating relief efforts for affected countries including Jamaica, Turks and Caicos, The Bahamas, and Bermuda.

The Government of Jamaica has prepared a Preliminary Needs List to support response and recovery for an estimated 400,000 people affected by Hurricane Melisa.

Donations may be made directly to the Rotary Club of New Kingston to support immediate needs in Jamaica.
This account is ring-fenced and managed by a local subcommittee to ensure funds reach the most urgent areas of need.
